Defense Microelectronic Activity (DMEA) is the Department of Defense’s leading authority on microelectronics and executes its mission to provide vital parts and services in innovative ways to meet the needs of the DoD and enable the Warfighter.
DMEA purchases research & development/technology; engineering and other technical consulting services; electronics and semiconductor related device manufacturing; software, software maintenance, & licenses; laboratory, scanner, test, & x-ray equipment; and facilities support services: landscape maintenance, janitorial, security, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, painting, etc.
DMEA also participates in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs, which are highly competitive awards-based programs that encourage domestic small businesses to engage in Federal Research/Research and Development (R/R&D) with the potential for commercialization.
Small businesses that provide the products and services that DMEA procures and are interested in its SBIR/STTR Program are encouraged to attend this one-hour workshop to learn more about DMEA and how to do business with them.
